Am I in Limp Mode?
So I went to work this morning and left my lights on for the first time and killed my battery. So I got it jump started and my engine started but it was idling funny. At first I thought that it was just cause the engine was cold because it will sputter on cold starts sometimes. I go to drive and it felt all messed up at partial throttle, but WOT it was fine, until 4k when it seemed there was a rev counter, so I got it home by keeping it full throttle or no throttle as I was having no problems in either of those.
I am assuming that I am in limp mode. I think the cause of this would be that I am not currently running an O2 sensor and with the ECU rebooting from fresh saw that there was no O2 and put into limp mode instead of just a CEL.
I don't know if this is correct though since it ussually just throws a CEL.
I am running Hondata S300, and it is currently in closed loop, so I am going to put into open loop and reset the ECU, but I wanted to make sure I had assumed correctly.

check the ecu out. on hondata ecu's, typically the s100 and s200, if u dont have the hondata s100 chip or s200 box in port CN2 of the ecu u will have a 4K rpm cut. im not too sure about the S300. check out the connections in the ecu.
if the ecu is in limp mode it usually cuts out at 3.5K
if the ecu is in limp mode it usually cuts out at 3.5K
