Default B series LS crankshaft 10-20whp?

I have a Gsr and LS block and I'm building a motor and I'm going with aftermarket rods and Pistons. I've heard if i put the LS crank in the gsr block it will make more power from stroke. Is that true and could i use the LS block and crank with gsr spec rods? Is it the same or am i missing something?

There is little gain in swapping crankshafts. Also, you cannot use the GSR rods with the LS crankshaft, you MUST use the LS rods if you move the LS crankshaft into the GSR block.

GSR crank is an 87.2mm stroke, the LS is 89mm

A straight GSR with a GSR crank is a 1797.37cc engine. Add an LS crank and you're at 1834.47 which is a net gain of 37.1cc. That's just a shade over a 2% bump in displacement, so if you figure everything being linear, a GSR makes 180hp, now it makes 183.6hp in simple math.

If staying NA, I would use the LS crank. Every little bit helps. Like mentioned, you'll need to delete the oil squirters as they can come in contact with the piston skirt and crank counter weights. Match the rods to the crankshaft.
GSR rods/GSR crank
LS rods/LS crank
