HELP!! compression tester stuck in plug threads
I went to test my compression today with a compression tester and the piece that screws into where the spark plug is supposed to go is stuck in there and I cannot get it to unscrew!, the car was a little warm when I screwed it in, I thought I let it cool down enough to be okay, any advice on how to remove it without taking off the valve cover and heating up the tube around the spark plug?

Re: HELP!! compression tester stuck in plug threads
oh you mean the adaptor is stuck in the cylinder? I ****ing hate when that happens. . . It happens to me all the time. Pain in the ****.. I have super long then needle nose pliers. But I also made an actual piece just for this instance. I have a rod with a threaded end to fit in the adaptor. Once you get it off just make sure to twist it back on nice and tight and you don't need to tighten it into the head so tight next time. Good Luck

Re: HELP!! compression tester stuck in plug threads
Well the problem is that I put red thread lock on the adapter that connects to the hose so i have no way of threading anything onto the block and the rubber just spins on the fitting now so im kind of screwed

I couldnt get anything to get down there so I ripped off the hose and tried to hammer a flat head into the nipple fitting sticking up and that failed, now I filed a 6 mil with jbweld and put it on the fitting, I will try and get it off tonight after work, will update

Re: HELP!! compression tester stuck in plug threads
yeah be careful that seems like a pretty serious route you chose to take. Make sure nothing accidentally slips down into the head.
