if you're getting an electrical guage, you should mount the sender remotely on the firewall, fender, or anywhere else that isn't prone to vibration. aftermarket senders are usually larger than factory, and don't stand up to vibration as well because of it. you should also soft mount the sender wherever you end up putting it.

This is my old line before I sold it and removed my old gauges. I'll fabricate a new one when I get the new gauges that's closer to the exact length. For this one, I just used the entire 3ft section of Aeroquip -3AN TFE hose and looped it.
This is the fitting that threads into the block where the stock sending unit goes. It uses a 1/8" BSPT (Male) to 1/8" NPT (Female) adapter -- 1/8" NPT (M) to -3AN flare aluminum adapter.
It's roughly $50 to $60 to buy the parts and put together the line yourself.

That Aeroquip aluminum tee is $11 or $12. That's reason enough for most people to not use it when a brass tee for $2 does the same thing...it's just a little heavier and uglier.

That looks like a lot of weight to hang from the block. I suggest an oil sandwitch.

I find that 1/8" NPT doesn't like to go into 1/8" BSPT, but vice versa seems to work alright.

Humm well last night i put the 1/8" NPT in the back of the block and it screwed in just fine and has no leaks... so i guess i got lucky.
