Installing oil pressure and temp guages
I got an oil temp and oil pressure gauge, both electric. Both pieces that appear to need to be tapped into an oil line or something. The intrsuctions included suck, can anyone help?

find the factory oil pressure sensor on the back of your block. Get a 1/8 bspt x 1/8npt fitting from z10. Remove the factory sensor and put the z10 fitting on. Then get 2 tee fittings and connect them back to back. After that connect them to the fitting from z10. Now the tee fittings give you 3 places to mount the sensors. Use one to remount the factory sensor back on and the remaining two to mount the aftermarket oil pressure and temp gauge.

He's talking about electric, but you would still need to find the oil pressure sensor, which is above the oil filer...on a d16, then they should have given you an oil pressure sending unit, and you need to T that into the oil pressure sensor and block, then run the wire to the sending unit

Copy and pasted this one from the other post I put it in
Here is my setup, mounted it on the firewall.
I do not recommend mounting anything besides the stock dummy light on the engine. I have seen people that mounted there oil sender on there block and have it fly off on the high way. Not something you want.

Whatever you do, don't have the oil pressure sender directly off the block. The sender is way too heavy and with the vibrations of the motor it will break off eventually. Run it like the picture above where you run a line from the block to the firewall and put the sender there. Don't forget to ground the sending unit as well.
