No need to replace it, just get a recharger kit at any auto parts store. You just need to clean and oil the filter.

with my short ram, I just used warm water and flushed the filter until it was clean. I didn't even oil it. Worked great.
I'm gonna do that with my CAI. What does the Oil do anyways??

I've got a K&N, they say clean it every 50k. I look at it each time I change oil. When it gets too dirty I clean/oil it. I don't remember ever letting it go for the whole 50k. I think airfilter intervals are pretty bogus, because everybody drives thru different amounts of dirt & dust. Sometimes it might get filthy in 15k, other times its good for 50k. Its so easy just to look at it whenever you change oil.

I have a short ram and am mostly on the highway, never used in bad weather and I replace it once a year. Currently im running a Pilot motorsport filter and like it.

Yah and it attracts the dirt, which is how it helps it to work properly!

Youve gotta re-oil it thoroughly...thats what keeps the filter filtering
I usually clean mine every 15k or so, whenever I see a buildup of crap.
