Just get the K&N cleaner kit. Should come with oil, and cleaner. Try to get ther kit with the spray-on oil versus the squirt bottle one. Makes it much easier. Should be about $10-$15 for it.

Well if it is a K&N filter , the filter should have been delivered in a plastic bag sealed , preoiled . If it isn't a K&N filter DONT oil it , I don't know if you can do that or not but I would recommend getting a filter you know is K&N and then oiling it when it needs cleaning . They say you don't have to clean the filter for quite some time , supposedly when it builds up dirt it improves the filter (GO FIGURE)

the only filters i know that need oiling are either the K&N or the foam..the other cone filters dont need oiling..why?..the guys at the shop said so as for me..i use the K&N funnel cones..but i dont use the cleaning kit..i just use a dish detergent and water and soak the filter overnite to get all the dye out..then reoil with the K&N oil
