Default drivers door lock

Okay well you knowthe drivers door whenever I try to lock it whether by da alarm or when then car automatically locks it. It sounds like a machine gun trying to lock it numerous time but do not succeed. Do I need to buy a new lock assembly or actuator or what's going on. Anybody have that problem.

Most likely one of the lock rods came out of the guide. Remove the door panel and check them.

i had this problem for many months thinking it was my door lock actuator. One day, i decided to take the door panel off and took everything apart, cleaned it up a bit, and put it back together.

Has been working fine to this day.

Is the lock difficult to manually actuate? Perhaps you can try greasing the rods with lithium grease where they contact the rod holders.
