Default Broken 14mm susp. bolt, what to do?

while reinstalling my front suspension i was tightening the 14mm bolt that holds the shock and the thing snapped in half. I know its broken in half because when i look from behind through the slit of the cup.. i can see where it snapped in half. Is it safe for me to go on with it broken like that? i dont plan on working on my suspension anytime soon. If not, what should i do about it? thanks.

suspension gets a lot of stress so you need to replace asap..

are you talking about the "wishbone" the shock sits in? The bolt that pinches it in?

get it fixed (any way you'd like)...the torque spec on those isn't much, it's not unheard of to snap them.

i tried pulling it out.. i think i can get the end with the bolt out but the other end looks impossible to get out since its threaded in.

i would not recomend u driving on it.. u will have to cut what u can and get the fork out first.. then fins some one who can weld anothoer bolt to it and CAREFULLY unscrew it out.. its a pain in the ***. if u got a dig cam take a pic so i can see it.. ...to be sure.. then go to the dealer and buy one new bolt.... if its the fork i might have one for sale i got to look.. but try that first .. live and learn....

I seriously would not recommend driving on it. If you hit a bad enough bump the shock could hop out of the fork and then you are really "forked"

if you can sell me the fork that'd be great man.. then i wouldnt have to deal with taking that damn bolt out. I'll still take a look at it again tomorrow and post pics of it. Thanks guys
