Ive got a 93 teg with a b18a. The other day i was on teh interstate and i hit bout 80 and the engine cut out on me, (like no fuel cut out) untill it slowed back down to 75. This is the first time this has happened and a have no idea wat the porblem would be cause the distributor is brand new along with new plugs and wires and i dont think that its a fuel problem because if thats wat it is it should be cutting out at 4000rpm in every gear. Anyways if anyone has any ideas id appreciate it>

I had this same problem on my LS-Vtec DA. My ECU would trip out and cut the motor around 6,500 RPM and wouldn't accelerate until i was going around 60 MPH or so, only when I would bang on her though. i think it was something wrong with the distributor or PCM. try jumping the ECU and reading the MIL for a Diognostic Trouble Code. All I did was reset the ECU everytime it happened and the problem would go away....untill I banged on her somemore. hope this helps bro.

sounds like the govenour... get it chipped and have the gov removed and tune it a bit and put the redline back in place.. mine used to do it at 8k and 120 now it just keeps goin

yeah its not a govoner ive had it at 136 before and ther was no govoner

you sure? i had an 85 accord and it would kick in at 110, they have been makin them for a while... i could be wrong though. just puttin the thought out there, it was the same thing on my integra. kicked in at 120 and after i chped it i can take it to 145 and i dont realy make power after that haha

if you have had it up that high before and all the sudden its choking at a lower mph im not really sure.,.

If I'm not mistaken, beside a rev limit, there is no speed governor. I had an issue like that but it was the connection at the VSS. Not sure if this applies to a 93DA.

mine did the same thing for a while..

there is a (tdc) sensor in the distributer, u can ether solder a newer used one in, or get a new distributer and see if that helps..(they can be tough to get out they have anti tamper bolts)

mine would cut at 3k and throw a cel, then it would shut off at will...
with no code either..
