160,000km maintainance, what's actually necessary and whats not?
as it says in the title, i'm coming up on 160,000kms (works out to be just a hair less than 100,000 miles).
acura reccommends a big long list of things to do at this milage but i just simply dont have the money to do it all at once.
what would be considered an absolute must have for this milage?
i'm going to start with all belts and a water pump/timing belt change as well as all fluids changed/flushed and new dist. cap and rotor (as my cap and rotor havent been changed since 1999).
what can wait and what should be done right away?

i'd do the timing belt, tensioner, waterpump, cam seals etc.....FIRST....if you snap a timing belt, it's gonna cost you a lot more than just the maintenance.....and sense all those things can be done while everything is all apart.....
as for the cap, rotor, wires, plugs, fluids etc....if they aren't completely worn out, you can wait a while as these aren't as critical....in most situations that is....

Couldn't have said it better. Check the condition of the cap, rotor, wires and plugs and that should determine whther you should change those. When was the last time you changed wires and plugs?
