Default Replace the Timing Belt Tensioner?

I've got everything to do a full major 100k tune up for my 99 ex
- timing belt + all other belts
- water pump
- crank & cam seals
- Wires
- Plugs
- Fuel Filter
- Dizzy cap & rotor

But I totally forgot about the tensioner.

Problem is that I was going to do the tuneup this weekend since I have nothing to do and off work but im worried about the tensioner. Couldn't really find anything about my question but should I order for a new one to come in or just use the one on my car. The car runs great and I've never had any problems with squealing or what not. Would I be okay using my current one? Is there any way to tell if it needs to be replaced when I look at it? Thanks guys

You could get away from using the original tensioner, I've done it a few times on different cars, but its always a good idea to change it while it's all taken apart.

What would go wrong if the tensioner just broke down on me one day?

Damn, that's what i figured. I just don't have the cash to put down on a tensioner now. I've got everything else except that. I mean, would one usually go after 100k mark or is it just whenever?

You got a problem... Not, go with old tensioner...if you think the tensioner is still good just don't ride hard till you get the new one...
