Default Turbo xs bov question

im in the market for a good bov for my civic, soon to be turboed with a holset hx30. i plan on using a tial 38mm wg, and would like to use the turbo xs type h-rfl bov also. the problem is the description for the bov says good for between 10-25psi. i only wanna run 6-8psi, would there be any compressor surge issues if i ran the turbo xs bov or any other issues by running lower than suggested boost?

blow off valve link: http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

thanks for any advice

I had one @ 9 psi on a 50 trim Borg Warner, and it was annoying IMO. I got rid f it. But if you want the WHOLE WORLD to know you're running boost, THATS the bov to get, lol! ;-)

And it will blow off after every downshift, upshift, and change of throttle position. I'm glad I got rid of it. Also got tired of re-lubricating the piston every couple of weeks because it would stick open..

Good riddance.

Only a recirculating valve would do that, such as a DSM flanged valve (under 14psi), or a TiAL Alpha Q that is recirculated.
