A few people actually claim to offer a Piston for FRM sleeves.
I think Endyn has wiseco pistons that work and JUN I believe as well.
I honestly dont think there is anyone using them though.....

I think a few people ran them, and still had problems.
It was that, or they were trying to prove everyone wrong, that FRM isnt compatible w/regular forged pistons...
All they proved was what everyone had said all along. Ya, it was the latter of the two. I wonder if a heat barrier coating of sorts would alleviate this problem?

Anyway, heres why I need to change the seat.

I forgot that I had a Jayco off-brand seat laying around(on top of my storage shed, burried). Ill take pictures when I find time to build brackets for it.

I dont remember exactly, but When i was doing some Cage work in school it seemed that the general rule For alot of the sanctions concerning cages stated your helmet must be 6" below the Main hoop.

I could be wrong, something to maybe consider since your planning on Road Racing this thing....

HPDE, not road "racing". ****, what class would I even run in? lol
When my girl sits in there w/the helmet on, theres a solid 6". I have a longer torso than her though. Oh well.
Got my ITBs today! In-trade for a pretty sick turbo manifold. Plugged in all of the sensors, hooked up the throttle cable. Its coming together rapidly now! I just need some -6 fuel line, a fuel pump(Sixtydashone had an extra hes shipping), and I need to sump my spare del Sol gas tank, and I should be ready to turn-key Pics coming later.

I second the "what the hell did you use for a throttle cable" question. Also, what kind of pipe did you use for the cooling lines? One more ??? for now: Are you using front brake rotors and calipers all around? If so, what's the plan for brake balance?

By the way, SCCA has a class called SPO where you can run anything that'll pass tech.

he can use stock civic 9.2" brakes in the rear and upgrade to 11" ITR rotors and calipers up front and an ITR MC/BB for one badass brake setup.

but you will definately have to get a set of adjustable preportional valves (Summit Racing sells Wilwood prop valves for like 20 bux a piece and you will need two)

and for the throttle cable thing....you must have used some type fo linkage system or something because that is one heck of a long throttle cable

I've got 97 Prelude knuckles front and rear (5 lug) with stock 11" rotors and calipers, so same size all around. I wonder if a 4040 (Integra rear disk brake) proportioning valve will work?

The REAL fun begins....wiring.

I used the stock del Sol front brakes on the front, and I think they are 2nd gen Teg rear knuckles/brakes. I plan on going Accord Wagon Calipers/Prelude rotors(I know I have to redrill, no biggie) up front, so itll balance out a little better. Its not a concern as of yet, I just want to hear/drive this thing once before winter sets in(October/November). Plus, I believe I have to swap out the master cylinder/brake booster in order to accomodate the larger calipers. I dont want to get into that/cant afford that at the moment.
I used aluminum tubing for the coolant, and a modified trunk release cable from a Teg for the throttle cable.

Why couldn't he use an NSX throttle cable?

$$$ would be a big factor on that one....no matter what part it is, it is for a NSX and it is going to be expensive

Cody, are the stock Del Sol brakes 10.2" brakes or are they regular civic brakes (9.2").....if they are regular civic brakes I might be able to hook you up with some GSR knuckles and you can source the prelude rotors and ITR calipers to use for larger braking.......just let me know man

also, have you sourced a fuel cell yet....I might be able to get ahold of one for cheap....hit me up on AIM later tonight and I will contact my distributor and see what he can get

$65 for an NSX throttle cable. Not too terribly expensive.

Ya, but you still may have to modify the NSX cable anyway. I just went to the junkyard and yanked a trunk release cable. Took some measurements, pulled the cable out of the housing, cut the housing down, re-ran the cable through, attached, and good to go! I was a bike mechanic for 6 years(through middle and high school), so cables are easy for me to work with

I get my wire at a Napa store in town, nothing special! That, or from old harnesses(I have 6 laying in my shop right now).

The H and F20C use a "metal matrix" crap liner that when combined with Forged aluminum pistons, seems to scar and ravage the liner. Do a search in the Lude forums, youll see some pictures
Thats why the big new thing is to use an F22/F23 block w/H head because the F22/F23's are closed deck, iron sleeved, and allow the use of an aftermarket piston just like the B and D blocks.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Doesn't the s2000 have forged pistons from the factory?
