The newer garrett t3/t4 turbos has a 4 bolt flange while the precision has 5 bolt flange.

the 5 bolt is more common. so if you needed a specific DP or manifold that will clear the 5 bolt would be BEST..!! there are some problem post if you scroll down due to the 4 bolt turbos. TurbochargedSER sells the GARRETT and VS racing and Motormatrix sells the PRESICION..

Precision uses garret parts to construct their turbos. Garret's dont have as many options for sizing turbos to your specific needs (although i work around that, i think they have enough for any turbo project). Precision's are usually around 200.00 more than the garret's. The precision's are extruded honed on the exhaust housing, and have a nicer aluminum compressor housing. Overall, the only reason to go with a precision is for the sizing options. I will almost always stick to garrets for the price. I Garret.

Guys,
Precision is an authorized Garrett Performance distributor. We sell the Garrett GT line of turbos as well as a wide array of other Garrett parts.

Soooo, what makes a Precision turbo different from a Garrett? We use the Garrett center sections and wheels with our own turbine housings which are cast with the Precision name. These housings will support more horsepower, which is why we've gone to the extra expense of doing our own castings.

Oh, by the way, we DO offer the Sport Compact series of street turbos with 4-bolt exhaust sides as a no cost option. This uses a Garrett housing. The SC line normally comes with a 5-bolt Precision housing.

Hope this helps.

Precision turbo works hand and hand with garrett. they use garrett wheels and their own castings. the difference is though precision is in the business to build turbos to make hp for drag racing, rally, autocross etc.. I believe garetts main focus is turbos for diesel trucks and oem parts for cars and truck. Correct me if I'm wrong on this. by the way PT has the most knowledgeable people in the business when it comes to making turbos that make HP. Trust me when i tell you, they do not build turbos as the book says to build them like turbonetics does!!!
