I installed a full blown dual fuel pump in my car and now I have fuel traveling thru the fuel pump wires (fuel is wicking thru the wires) and going to the ground and also the fuel pump relays. Anyone else have this issue and what was done to fix it. Inside my car smells of pure fuel now.

Clean with carb cleaner to remove all gas/fuel residue

Apply liberal amount of honda bond/rtv. Make sure you mess with the wires so that the rtv gets in between all the wires and small gaps.

Allow at least 24 hrs to dry

This fixed my problem. After I had to drill out the **** they had in there and replace the wires. Good luck that dual hanger is a serious pita to work with.

Did u do that to the wires inside the tank or to the wires outside? Im gonna go try that on the outside wires now. I'll seal it with heat shrink too

The way to fix it is properly sealing your terminals at the pump. It's super simple stuff. There are fuel-safe heat shrinks, and fuel-safe epoxies and sealing polymers you should be using.

I applied it to the top of the hanger after everything was installed.

If you squeeze it real good down into the hole it will seal properly IMO.
I was so fed up with the thing there no way I was taking it back out again.

Lol I just did it on the outside wires... I dont ever want to go back into the tank. Its a pain in the *** to work on. Gonna check tomorrow. .. Hopefully it fixes it

Yes I pulled it prob 10 times in two days with fuel line problems
I ended up using braided -8 lines. Because they are "kink resistant"

The fuel lines didnt cause me any problems. I routed them like how fullblown says to do it and they didnt kink.

Well as an update, i cut the power and ground wires coming off of the full blown pump. At the ends where i cut, u untwisted the copper wires and put grey silicone at the base of the wires on both sides that i cut. I spliced the wires back together, heat shrinked it and taped it up. So far no more leaks coming out of the wire connectors.

FYI full blown did email me back and said that i am building too much pressure in the EVAP system... i dont have my evap canister hooked up. i removed it from my car. The vent line in the engine bay was plugged with a screw... i didnt take it out as yet as the fuel leak from the wires has sinced stopped

Drill a pin hole in the cap and your problem will stop. You blocked up the vent for the tank. It has to have a vent.

I removed the evap canister from my car too and the gas tank was building up crazy amounts of pressure. I drilled a very small hole in my gas cap and it stopped building pressure. After doing that I noticed my car ran much leaner, about 1.5 points leaner in boost. I believe the tank was building enough pressure to raise my fuel pressure, not sure if this is even possible lol. My tune ended up needing 10% fuel added to the whole map to make it run like it did before. Just make sure you keep an eye on your fuel pressure when you get ur gas tank to vent properly.
