Default ef turbo question

ok ive already turboed my car. ive got the b18a1 in the car. well im getting ready to pull the motor back out and build it before it blows. im wanting to run a top mount manifold but i can seem to find one that i can be sure the is ganna give me ok move. i really dont want to have to cut this and cut that and make this and that work. ive done enough of that in the past. anyone now of a good top manifold to run????

thanks for the help

shouldnt you have built it before you turboed and put it in the car? and your lookin for an exhaust mani for the turbo right? all of em ive seen installed were custon made by tig welding piping

lol really?

OP, are you certain you want a top mount? I bet you'd have better luck and an easier/cheaper time using a different proven style that won't give you as much of a clearance issue.

sup dude i have b16 turbo complete stock in my opinion u should run a log the reason why because the turbo would spool fast. to me top mount are for race cars that make big power. Goautoworks did my intercooler piping and he also has 88-91 full turbo kits directly bolt on. go luck with ur setup.

yea i should have built it first but didnt. idk ill think it over dont know tho just thought maybe a top mount would give me a lil more room in the car since the engine bay is smaller then the new modals

thanks for info

i have a top mount and i mocked mine in my E-bay on my hatch. it looks like im going to have to notch the hood and or maybe cut a hole in the hood lol. IMO i would get a ram horn and call it a day.

edit:i have a AFI top mount and im going to have to run a 1/2 core rad as well so it fits.

With out spending a ton of money there is no good answer for what you want, Top mounts are mostly for show, some do make more power. I would just find a nice equal length manifold from a reputable company.... What are you goals how fast do you want it to spool. If you want to do something crazy different go twin scroll instead! Like the custom one that Boostwerks made me...

With the 88-91 body style civic you do have some "room" issues when choosing a manifold to run. We have found that the Ramhorn manifold fits well depending on which turbo and wastegate you are running. Here is a pic of a ramhorn that we did for a customer for you to see.

We sell our ramhorn for $650 shipped and it can be tailored to your needs. Let me know if that helps. Thanks
