Hey man I have a quick question for you. Is that Vibrant resonator more like a glasspack or a muffler inside? I am looking to quiet mine down more as well and don't want to put another glasspack in the center section and couse more restriction.

I like it. It is different, the path less traveled.

Its basically a straight through muffler... there are a lot of equations to consider to get the right flowing exhaust to sound the way you want it... im pretty sure what is being done on my car now is not going to satisfy me and i will probably have to add a tps based butterfly system

I liked the way it sounded with the glasspack but it didn't flow well at all. Also I made a mistake when I said quiet. Really going after a more deep tone with sound that isn't terribly loud that would be my target. I am pretty interested in your dual muffler set up but I may just copy the passenger side and have both mufflers close to the bumper.

When you say TPS butterfly system are you talking about a Corvette Z06 style muffler? What info do you have on those kind of mufflers?

I cannot wait to see how well yours does when it's tuned and on the road. Hopefully should be wrapping mine up soon and using those id1000's I bought from you!

Think abouit.... if you have the piping volume to support 700whp of flow through your exhaust system using a muffler that manages sound and can flow 700whp is ideal but isnt using 2 mufflers that are more restrictive and only flow 350whp the same thing as 1 high flowing muffler? the only difference being that the sound control from the more restrictive muffler will... restrict the sound? lol

yes i am talking about a butterfly system similar to the z06 however they are not a 3" diamiater and are a bit more restrictive (i think those are 2.5)... i could always swap for more restrictive mufflers as well...

I am agreeing with your dual exhaust idea big time! Just trying to find more into these driver controlled mufflers. From what I have seen they are basically turbo style mufflers that have a vacuum based bypass. Unless we are talking about different mufflers.

I would like to see how adding the right resonator in my exhaust first and go from there. The cherrybomb glasspack has perforations that seemed to shrink the size of pipe from 3" to 2". Just guessing here but wouldn't that restrict flow a bunch?

i am actually talking about vacuum controlled butterfly valves... like having throttle bodies in your exhaust...

when i first saw the first photo, I was like why don't you have a "Y" pipe because it looks like it was a "T" if you get what im saying.
But it looks nice, nicely done and will frabicated.
Question though... why is it behind the lower control arms???

the new set-up poking out the middle of the rear bumper looks so sick.
good numbers too.

before the exhaust splits off there are no turns other than the downpipe...im willing to bet (i will do this on the dyno to disprove myself) that if i unbolted the Y section it would flow the same as if the exhaust dumped to the ground in the same location as the split... the only difference being (2 mufflers 1 resonator and a bunch of extra piping for noise control)

locating the split at this point also allows the exhaust to come together the way it does... its symmetrical...

So the exhaust is complete!!!!! Still need to do some other work to get the car to actually start so videos of how the sound turns out are still pending...

I am hoping to add a little more length to the bottom of the bumper with one of those rear diffusers in the future. I really think it turned out great!

When it rains, just hit the 2-step...LOL

Now the car is really begging for a full rear diffuser, preferably made out of CF
