Does the external fuel pump create higher fuel pressures?
I have the Drag Gen III kit. I have the external Airtex fuel pump that comes with the kit. Will it create higher fuel pressures? Like at idle? Or will the fuel pressures remain the same as stock?

Re: Does the external fuel pump create higher fuel pressures? (TurboIntegra)
Fuel pressure is created by restriction in the fuel return line. All inline pumps do is provide the ABILITY to sustain high fuel pressure when something like a Vortech FPR blocks off the fuel return line... and consequently causes more fuel to be injected into the cylinders.
Your idle FP will not change.

Except as the fuel pressure rises less volume of fuel can be delivered by the pump. This gives a fixed maximum horsepower you can generate for any given fuel pressure. See the detailed explanation http://Hondata.com/techfuelpump.html
