built 1.8L GSR on a 2 stage 140shot (60 and 80).
did 12.3 at 109 on the 60 shot with 225/50/15 radials
still working the car out on the track maybe i will have a 2 stage time wed night.
i drive the car every day.
old setup was a stock b20b on a 75 shot (made 200hp/201tq)
two 10lb bottles a week for 2 years never had one problem
the car went 13.5@ 101 on street tires

my 60 is a direct port dry. the 80 was a single fogger wet kit, the 80 is now a dry single fogger. the A/F came out much better with both kits dry.

Was given a brand new kit from a buddy for 200$ (crackhead deal, bottle/warmer/pressure gauge/blowdown tube, etc) took it to miller to tune and in one day. The car made 305/272wtq on a 100 shot on a stock K20, w/ rbc I/h/e. Car had horrible alignment and only ran a best of 12,56@119 on 225s bfg but it would trap 117-120mph all day and walk the mustang on rolls by serious car length . Not bad for a 700$ setup It went through 35-40 bottles I had one behind passenger seat and one behind driver seat (cheap auto bottle opener ). Same car is now being turbo'd

Bottles depending who you know and what not as it varies alot because some shops stock alot of nitrous or order alot. But it varys from 4-8$ a pound (used to pay 7$ canadian over here then had a buddy who bought ~500lbs and i would get it at 5$/lb. My cars bottle would usually last 12-14 full 1/4 mile passes spraying 2nd till 4th.

I guess it's a matter of opinion and a bit of ignorance on my part, but i had no idea what nitrous cost at all. I have since found places for $5/lb US but even at that, i dont know what a bottle can hold.

My biggest hesitation with nitrous is that it is effectively leasing power. I think i'd be hesitant to hit it since i'm paying for each time i have fun; whereas, with my turbo setup, i have already invested into the setup and may as well use it. The two setups are vastly different obviously since a turbo setup has a steep initial cost, but little continual costs...nitrous is cheap but keeps costing money as long as you're using it.

After a few years, i wonder what the cost comparison would look like...

had a 93 si with bone stock z6 and had close to 200k on it and literally turned the bottle on before starting the car. sprayed stop light to stop light everyday on a 100 shot. did that for 3months or so and would go through 2 bottles a week. some times more. and never not once had a problem. i couldn't believe it i tried to mess that motor up and only thing i did was have to put a good clutch in it. finally had all the stuff for the swap i was planning and sold the motor to a buddy who put it in a 4 gen hatch and he sprayed the same shot on but had i/h/e and went low 14's on a d/r spinning a little. the motor never blew or had a problem till that car was sold to another kid and when the kid changed the plugs he never gaped them and then it went to ****. that motor was a factory freak i swear.

99 LS. All stock with I/H/E running Zex 55 wet kit for about 5 years. Nothing wrong. After decided to rebuild and go FI. Looked at the pistons when they were out and still looked fine.

Gweezy and Double, that is AWESOME.

what kind of kits were those? dry/wet? single fogger nozzle or direct port?

the more I hear from you guys the more I am leaning to doing a 50-75 shot, dry fogger and using hondata to add fuel at the injectors....

my kit was a **** of a kit, just pieced it together from n20 parts i had and buddys had.. had nos big shot noids and a nos single nozzle. and was a wet kit. come to think of it i had the fuel pill jetted a little bit higher then what the card said but either way i will guesstimate and say that there was probable 60-70 bottles though that little one cam and it was a trooper. i wished i could of got that motor back and went through it after it was hurt to check it all out and see what was really hurt in the motor. after about 2 bottles the oil smelled so bad of gas lmao!

damn! sounds like you never even had it tuned on the bottle eh? brave! I'm not super confident in my understanding of nitrous so I plan to just have mine tuned.

surprised your buddy couldn't go faster on a 100 shot with drag radials than low 14s though? sounds kinda of low?

I'm really surprised to see how many people on here sprayed single nozzle fogger wet kits for a long long time though. I was always under the impression that the single nozzle wet kits blew up hondas even on small shots due to unequal distribution of nitrous vs. fuel to the cylinders so that some of them run lean.

guess I'm wrong eh?!

Zex 55 shot wet kit shot through the intake. Direct port is next maybe to help the charger.

im sure he could of gotten a better time but that was the only run that he did the car broke an axle i think the next run so that was it. and yes car was not tuned at all, the only thing that was done was the dizzy was moved to retard the timing but im not even sure if it truly did retard the timing to be honest. that was the only car i sprayed on so dont know if there is a problem in runners on the intakes and leaning out. as far as being brave about spraying it un tuned i didnt care cause i had most of the swap part that i was collecting and wanted to see what it could take. if it did blow up sooner i would of had the swap done sooner but it never did in my hands. so just had to stop putting a beating on it and yank it out.

that's hilarious man, guess chalk one up for honda, the funny thing is a 100 shot on a 1.6 motor would be equivalent to a 312hp shot on a 5.0 mustang, and I bet a stock 5.0 would not even last 1 second with that kind of a shot on it regardless of tune.

i dont think it is so much the kits that blow up so many hondas its is mostly the user and installer (sometimes the tuner). nitrous is vary unforgiving, things can happen vary fast lol.

you have a point, considering how many people on here have sprayed 50-75hp on a single nozzle fogger 100s of times with no problems for years makes me think I'll just buy a used nitrous express wet kit on here for $300 and call it a day instead of going the direct port route for $1000+....
