D16Y8 HEAD STUD TORQUE SEQUENCE
Hey guys i just bought some arp head studs with a new oem head gasket kit for my D16Y8 but it doesnt show the sequence for toqueing down the bolts. I know how many pounds your suppose to torque each bolt at each step but i dont know whats the pattern you have to follow.....Any help guys???

just make sure you use the arp torque spec becuase this is oem torque spec(which is prolly less then the arp required spec)...i follow this spec then last step i torque to requiered arp spec.

i thought the bolts are supposed to be tightened down to 22pounds correct? it shows 49pounds is that right? or am i retarded =p

Nope... loosen in the reverse order. In the diagram above, start at ten and continue backwards to the #1 position. Loosen each one full turn only on the first sequence, then one additional full turn on the second sequence... then you can take them out safely all of the way.
