cometic gasket now timing is off
I had a problem with my stock headgasket so I figured I would upgrade I have a d15 b vtec running 8 lbs and just put in a cometic headgasket its .075 thickness I believe, marked the timing and everything and now the timing seems to be off. Tried to change it a tooth and noticed no difference, also new gasket is leaking oil whole nother problem. Any help on why my timing is off or how to fix it would be amazing do I have to set it different because of the thicker gasket?

Re: cometic gasket now timing is off
Physical timing will always be off if you change to a gasket, because the marks are now in order. You must mean D16 VTEC as the D15b7 was a non-vtec engine
Hopefully you didn't use Copper Spray on the Cometic gasket because of the MLS material, and you went in specific tighten down order. if not, that could cause the leak very easily.
OEM headgaskets are the best thing to use on these, not to go thicker to lower compression so that you're "better for boost". Very common misconception.

cometic head gasket loss of psi
I replaced my stock headgasket with a .075 thickness cometic gasket its on a jdm d15b vtec and noticed an increadible difference in a bad way it seems to take longer to reach my psi setting of 8lbs is this just because the lower compression or is there something else the only thing I changed was the headgasket and timing belt. Would advancing my timing help or adjusting exhaust valves? Any input would be appreciated
