B16 build 500-600 goal need advice
Coming to B series from SOHC, built a 400whp sohc and now I'm building a b16 here's the setup
GE Block guard
Block is honed and decked
Bored out to 81.5mm
Mahle forged pistions
Eagle rods
stock crank polished
stock b16 head
GE Fuel rail
unknown of what clutch yet
borgswarner s256 turbo
tial 38mm wastegate
rc autoworks ramhorn
precision 1000cc injectors
Possibly GSR LSD tranny
Should I be doing an inline fuel pump setup and new lines?
Also what clutch would be best and reasonably prices to hold the power? Should I be going with an aftermarket intake manifold?
and whatever else advice you can think to give would be appreciated

I'm thinking
Golden eagle intake manifold
Competition 4 puck stage 5
where can I find the supertech valvetrain kit
for fuel I have a walbro 255 is that good enough?
Also I already have the tial 38mm I was told it was good to 800 no problem.

Stock head is fine, don't waste your money on a port job. You only need to upgrade your valvetrain if you want to up your redline. If you understand what a wastegete does you'll know a bigger gate helps you control boost better at low levels. To make 500-600whp you're clearly going to need to run a lot of boost so a bigger gate won't help you. No need to buy another. I easily made 500whp on a 38mm gate. Golden Eagle IM is fine, look into Skunk2 or VictorX too. It depends what youre reving the car to and where you want your power. A single 255 is good for about 500, after that you'll need a second pump.

Whats the best intake manifold to go with? ge, skunk2 or victorx?
and would this be a good choice for fuel needs? http://www.go-autoworks-store.com/go6prokitwin.html

I made 723 on a gsr 2.0 liter. stock ports . stock gsr cams . on 25 psi. you should use a walboro 255 an add the 044 pump for your fuel system.

Don't really need to upgrade the fuel rail, I'd upgrade the valve train to supertech and call it a day. Everything else sounds on point. The inline pump would be a good idea if you want to push around 600hp.

Skunk2 will give you a more power over the VictorX from about 4000-7000rpm. Above that the VictorX takes over. It just depends where you want the power. The victorx will give you higher peak hp however if this is a street car you may want to go with the skunk2 for better low end power. For a drag car go with the victorx

Yeah I found it read up on it but I asked cause I couldnt find the price lol.
Turns out my buddy has one (victorx) for $450 with a 68mm s2 throttle body is that a good deal should I grab it?

Re: B16 build 500-600 goal need advice
you're going to need a 70mm TB.
and i'd say go with a brian crower valvetrain, or crower valvetrain.. doesn't matter. both are quality. otherwise no sense in doing cams with no headwork or you're just going to a) blow it up or b) waste money. a walboro 255 will be sufficient for about 550 anything over i'd recommend a 2nd pump. i'm going with a Victor X manifold to a 70mm, however, the JE one is nice too. but we will be making around the same power next year between 500-600. however mine is going to be a full built gsr.
