Ostrich 1.0 not holding tune
Long story short got my integra running again after 5 years sitting.
Im using ectune for which Calvin gave me a license until 2030 right before he dipped and the project went away.
I've been using an Ostrich 1.0 and Hulog with no issues up until now. Basically I can connect to Ostrich, upload the tune and as long as my laptop is connected, all is peachy. But once I disconnect laptop (physically/USB cable) the tune will hold for maybe 1-2 minutes before it drops off and cant be verified by the program anymore and I have to reupload.
I tried replacing the batteries on the ostrich as the old ones were definitely corroded and Im getting 5 volts ish at the pins where the battery tray pins are connected to the board on the ostrich. Did not change anything. There is a chip on the board that is removable but I looked up the part number and it just seems like its for communication? I could be wrong, but thats really the only other thing I can try.
Not my picture but this is the chip Im referring to
