SFWD 590whp DC2 need some opinions pliz!
My build is
B18B ls head nonvtec
GT35R
75wet shot
Ok so i dyno @600whp pretty close lol. i Want to make The car a pretty consistant
10sec car. I have some doubt in my pick of trans. I have a stock LS trans 4.2 fd with
Mfactory lsd. Ill be shift @8500rpm according to a gear caculator ill be falling back to far in between shift and im think il have a lot of power loss and a lot of rpm to make up that said i think the trans is to mush gearing for my setup. i dont want to get rid of it but if anyone has any better suggestions or if you think il be fine let me know.
I also have 22x8x15 MT's i know there are undersized my old car only made 250whp. so what size slick well work good with this trans and setup.

24.5x9x13 mickey thompson's and a gsr trans and go have a blast. The tire you have as you know is small and the gearings is too long.

Or you could try a B16 tranny and take the lsd from you LS and put it in B16 tranny. Ans get a bigger tire for sure like Miller said!!!! Good luck

im also running a non-vtec head, when i was at 600hp(25psi on a s372) with a ls tranny shifting at 10500,my rpm dropped to 6900. with a gsr tranny now, i drop to 7300 between shifts. Gsr tranny is a huge differences

i have had all three trannies in our car and the one that works the best is the gsr gear set. the b16 was to short and the ls was to long. and it was all on a set of 24.5 X 9 X 13 MT slicks.

so you guys are agreeing that the ls is to much gearing for the setup, my consern on a gsr tran is if im only shifting @8500 not @10000 like most guys well it be capable of traping at least 140mph? well 26x8.7x15 MH be to much tire or work out

I like the idea of keeping my ls head for now. not to many guys out there making 600+whp going 10s and 9s with a nonvtec setup. Anymore tire size suggestions anyone on a 15x8'' wheel?

I get consistent low 1.6s out of my m&h 25x8.7x13 on my street car. But at the same time they are the only slicks that i have run. Just saying they work well for me, im sure every car and track will like something different.
