I wouldn't expect it to hold up very long making anymore than maybe 450-480 on stock sleeves. You have the makings for a pretty stout setup for sure. Could you push it to a 9 sec ET? In current trim I would have so unfortunately say not quite but again that's just my personal opinion. I see you needing some more chassis/suspension work before you hit that milestone, along with lots and lots of seat time which I do not expect a stock sleeve block to withstand at the power levels your talking.

shoot! I forgot to write it is golden eagle sleeved. I also have a css 81.5 block with k1 rods and wiseco 9:1 pistons. lsvtec would obv be better but it is not sleeved like the b16

Gotcha. Well for starters, i have heard nothing but amazing things about CSS equipped blocks and their ability to hold up to big power. Up to the 700hp or so range I would feel just as confident running CSS equipped vs a full sleeved block, so I wouldn't let that hold you back from building that LsV. I've always been a fan of displacement myself, so the larger bore block would be my personal choice even Sans aftermarket sleeves, but going back to the original post: a GE sleeved B16, even at only 81mm bore, with your mods and turbo selection should easily be able to produce well into the realm of what your looking for with appropriate tuning. Have you weighed your chassis yet? Without knowing your true race weight I'm just going to pull a random number out, but at 2200#s you could easily dip into the 9s with around 550+ whp and 450+ Tq. obviously getting to know what the car likes would be important as well, but just to throw out some general figures that would be a good starting goal to shoot for.

Oh and as far as MAX power, I would say that turbo should be good for up to 750, perhaps even more with a good tuner and boost specific oriented cam profiles. As far as what you SHOULD run around on, that would really depend on what fuel choice, timing and fuel maps etc. Personally I feel that in a FWD car anything over 400 is a bit too much for regular street use, but then there are plenty of hardcore guys running way more too so I think it really all comes down to personal preference and safety when it comes down to your tune.

Its an easy 10s on my opinion... Boost per gear perhaps?

About 10 years ago I tuned a car that was a B16 81.5mm stock sleeves with 8.5:1 pistons, stock head with Rev valve train. with a PT67 T3HO no boost by gear it went 10.42@144. It did crack a sleeve but it was his DAILY DRIVER...

My EG is Tunned on 93 pump making 418whp and 312tq for DD, will retune for track before summer on race gas to 700hp

For street use anything over 400hp is useless with street tires. Right now I got nitro gens 205/50/15 and 1st 2nd & 3rd just spinning tires and no Go. I'll be getting street drag radials soon and that should change things a bit.

Thanks! No videos yet. But will have some when the track opens. It's closed during winter season here

Lose the LS trans and get a GSR trans. Stock sleeves will go 9's in a b16 depending on car weight. Local guy runs a b16 with moroso block filler in a crx making over 700whp. Best time he's ran is 10.1 with a bad short track. Once they get the car hooking it will go 9's all day
