Wiring question?
Im about to install a new stereo system in my car. i want to do the big three upgrade and all of my ground straps i just have a few questions.
1. When doing the positive battery to the alternator im supposed to leave the factory wire in place and just run a new wire?
2. considering that im running a hot wire from the alternator to the battery shouldn't i fuse it?
3. With the fuse should i it close to the battery like the amp kit or closer to the alternator?
4. What rating fuse should i use?
Im going to use 4 gauge wire for everything. This is going in a 2001 civic ex thanks in advance.

Re: Wiring question?
If you upgrade a power lead, replace the original, a fuse is not required on the alt. charge line, a 4ga charge line is way overkill, your alt. does not produce 150A, [capacity of 4ga cable].
When beefing up the grounds you can add a ground lead and leave the stock leads in place. 94
