Symptoms: For past few months I have not used my remote start because my alarm started going of when I remote started. Now it has started to go off even when armed.

I opened everything and found this a burnt 520T; I opened that to look at the circuit board:

My car is open right now and im trying to find the culprit. Looks like a short on the 12V input? Could having the remote start connected to the same line as the 12V input cause a problem?

I dont see anything wrong with the line, but at the dei fuse and connector are both melted. Im thinking its a 520T failure vs a problem with my install

One thing I found is that I had the 12V fused alarm wire as well as remote start wires connected to the 12V gray DEI 520 output. Im thinking that when remote starting that it draws too much current from the gray DEI circuit and causes it to fail over time?

So I should have the 12V remote start wires connected to the 12V input instead of using the DEI circuit?
