is dei 451m needed
Hi,
I am planning on installing my first alarm. I have a viper 550esp. and i own a cx eg. i have no factory power door locks.
I was wondering if i need to use the dei 451m with the dei actuators. i plan on getting the dei 524n 2 wire door lock. i heard using the 451m will be easier.
also what is the difference between the 2 wire door locks and the 5 wire door locks. thanks for the help in advance.

</TD></TR></TABLE> 5 wire actuators have switchs in them, so locking/unlocking a door with the OEM doorlock switch or key will also lock/unlock the other doors, you also need the 5 wire central locking modual, all you need to do doorlocks in your car is a 2 wire actuator for each door and 2 SPDT relays, you can use the neg. doorlock outputs of the alarm to trip the relays. 94

You can use the 524n's for each door and wire up the 451m to control both of them. There should be plug coming off the 451m that plugs up directly to the brain, the other wires need to be hooked up as follow, purple wires go to 12v constant, brown an white wires go to ground, and the blue and green get hooked up to the blue and green from each acuator
