1996 Accord Ground Issues
So I used the rear buckle bolt (under the rear bench, large ~14mm bolt). I am having some alternator whine issues:

Now I think I am having multiple issues. I believe there is something wrong with the headunit and will have a replacement soon. But one thing I notice tonight driving with the rear bench removed, is there is a high pitch noise coming from that area even if the stereo+amps are off. Seems like the car has some interference issues. I heard accords can be electronically noisy. Anyone heard about this? What could be causing it? Seems to be coming from the driver side under the rear bench, is the fuel pump in that region?

Re: 1996 Accord Ground Issues
To confirm, turn stereo on, [ign. switch on acc.] then turn ign. to run, [not start] fuel pump will prime for a few sec. if noise is there when pump is priming and stops when pump stops, it is the fuel pump.
You can also try a "dump ground" run a 16ga lead from the back of the HU, [HU chassis] to the chassis of the amp, not sure how you would have noise when amp is off.
How/where are the RCA leads run? 94

Re: 1996 Accord Ground Issues
I think I might have found the problem. Disconnected battery. I set my multimeter to diode then I put a probe on the + terminal of the alternator and the other to the body of the alternator one reading I get 3.00, when I flip the probes I get -3.00
I dont remember the units but from what I understand one way should be high and the other way should be low, if this does not happen then my alternator has a bad diode
