2007 Acura TL Type S – Acura’s Best Sedan Ever?

The 2007 Acura TL Type S is hands down one of the best sedans ever produced by Acura. Not only were the looks on-point, but the performance was top-notch compared to most of its segment competitors.

The one and only, Matt Farah from TheSmokingTire, recently had a chance to feature a very unique TL Type S on his ‘One Take’ series. Needless to say, it provided for a very enjoyable  canyon ride.

I actually worked for Acura during 2007 and 2008 and have plenty of seat time in one of these bad boys, and I know for a fact that stock they were a blast, so I can’t imagine what they’re like with more power, stiffer suspension and better stopping power. The only downside of the Type S back then was considerable torque-steer, and it lacked a little more grunt compared to the Infiniti G35 sedans of the time.

This tuned example driven by Farah has over 118,000 miles, and the owners states that it was his daily driver until recently when we got an EV. Personally, I’m not a big fan of the wheels, but that’s really none of my business. It looks like this Acura handles superbly, and sounds pretty awesome too, which makes it one desirable ride.
