To be honest I do not know, but just looking at the pictures, it looks like they customized the OEM mounts.

Once I get it back, I don't plan on keeping it OEM... LOL!!!

Has anyone ever used DA parking brake cables on their EF9 before? I'm in a pinch here, this seems to be the big hold up on my car.

Yes. Have them on my hatch when I did a rear disk swap. Little longer but works well on the hatch. Kinda long on a Crx though. You should be fine.

I've got a friend that has a DA, I'm going to use his title to see if I can order some new then, know that I know they will work. Thanks!

Well, I assume your converting your rear brakes to disk? Any integra rear trailing arms will work. Your drum brake cable will not work with rear disk so the integra cables are needed.

yeah, I'm changing to disc and I'm using the trailing arms from the CRX SiR.

You wouldn't know where there is a used set (brake cables) at would you?

Well, I went through a friend here on Okinawa, who went through a forum back stateside and he was able to find some DA brake cables.... So, hopefully when they get sent to my friend up on the main land, the shop will be able to finish my car.

Here is also to crossing my fingers hoping they will work.

Well, my engine is sitting in the car but the shop ran into another problem, the front member from the EF8/9 is totally different from the EF2 and now he is going to have to customize it to make it work so I can use the EF8/9 tension rods and engine mount.

I will post up pictures when I get back to Okinawa Monday evening.

Good news, the engine is in the car.

The bad news, the front member from my EF2 and the CRX EF8 are totally different, it bolts up different, the tension rods are on a different angle, its hard to explain. Its a No Joke night and day difference, it makes more since that I have saw it in person. This basically means, he is going to have to do more fabrication, which in return, means more time.

Here is the Cusco 7 point I got. I have already bought some black roll bar padding for it. The orange has to go.

Yay pictures! Sucks about the front cross member, but it sounds like the shop will take care of it for you. Cage looks nice too

can't they just move the mount on you crossmember ? or is there another reason to run the crx crossmember ?

Its hard to explain, I wanted to use the bigger tension rods from the CRX and I wanted the option to go aftermarket if I chose to at a latter time.... If I kept the EF2 I would not have been able to do that.

The EF8/9's cross member will let me do that (keep the bigger tension rods) but the where the cross member bolts to the frame is different and the angle of the tension rods is different.

So, right now, he is trying to figure out how to use both pieces, I'm guessing he is going to have to cut and weld.

Thanks! I'm not able to get pictures like I did in the past due to me not being on the mainland no more.

But, hopefully it will be here within the next month.
