With such limited free time, the engine got pulled today. Very happy about that! Turns out the mounts are shot, gotta get a new set......

It’s alive!! JDM J30, super low k, 250hp stock, all parts refreshed for long term reliability, almost like a new car engine wise, and new clutch. She runs, just finishing off other details and should be ready this Sunday. With a full Magnflow cat back in already, plus an AEM V2 to be added soon, should be fun. This runs on regular gas!

Well, I’ve learned new things these past few days. I hadn’t realized that these j series engines ranged between both either a Vtec design, or an i Vtec version. That is why the each had different locations on the solenoid locations, and left me throwing a couple of error codes, and sitting in a limp mode, not allowing me to rev above 3000rpm. With great help from an actual Honda tech (lol), a couple wires were spliced and connected together, and voila! She’s out of limp, and makes good power!
One last code to clear with the traction control system, and the swap is 100% finished. Hopefully tomorrow! Then I’ll head somewhere decent and snap some new pics. I want to break in the clutch first before any fancy motion shots laying out some rubber.
