What type of motor is an LS nonVTEC ???

YOU CAN HAVE A COUPLE OF DIFF. ENGINE CODES :

b17 1.7 liter dohc. (non vtec)
b18a 1st gen 1.8 liter dohc.( non-vtec)
b18b 1.8 liter dohc (non-vtec)

this type of motor is good for mild engien build or somthing to learn with .. or
if yo have aspirations for a turbo charged motor ..... it's a great platform to work with ...

pro's not a whole lot - long gears , low comp. (great fo turbo) , really strong rods.
good torque
cons.- low reving , not a ton of top end power, limited on good performance mods....

b17a's are from 92-93 integra gsr's...1.7 vtec,very similar to a b16 with a slightly longer stroke.

wow ! was not aware of that , i thought they were form the first gen ls and gs.

guess ya learn somthing new every day !
