Im going for an b20b with 12.1-12.5 CR with S2S2 cams b16 haed etc etc. So its not even worth spending the 350 on some aftermarket rods when stock rods will do just as fin with arp rood bolt. An yes you can put them.
Thanks

I dont know
Im building my b20v as reliable as posible. Since i saw the OP making close to 250whp on stock rods. It changed my mind.

I wonder what kind of horsepower the stock rods can handle before they give out... I know my d-series "toothpicks" can handle 200 plus before breaking, so I'm assuming the b20 rods can handle more than that. However, if I get a good deal local on some used aftermarket rods, I'm definitely going to pick them up...

im not reving past 8500 but i still went with eagle rods but this is also because i went with forged pistons cost me a few more bucks but i didnt want over 11:1 compression so i had to g forged pistons

I'm prolly going to use aftermarket pistons for around the same area compression. This is going to be more daily driven than track driven, but I want it to be reliable as well. Do you think that on a budget build, Eagle rods are worth it over ARP hardware in stock rods? I see used Eagle rods go around 200 +/- on my local forum every once in a while. Come to think of it, I've seen a for sale thread around here with a bent b20 rod...

The OP has not been back for a while, but he has more recently been on b20vtec.com. I wrote him an email yesterday, so if he responds I'll ask him and try to get that answer back to you. This threads coming back from the dead, just without the OP lol.

"Cheap" Tri-Y Header (Still waiting for RMF)

Presicion 440cc Injectors
ITR JDM Tranny 4.78

Same setup had 239whp with Rage Header, RPM Service 76-74mm Throttle and Stock Fuel Rail. Never posted old graph since i lost it but... We got +1whp than before,on top, but powerband was improved all the way (+5-6whp). The only engine changes were: a Blox 1mm bigger TB, NEW Tri-Y header (old Rage was dented a little bit) and Skunk2 Composite Fuel Rail.

Car ran today 12.3sec @ 110.5mph
More info on 1/4 mile time here:

-----------------------UPDATE--------------------------
Changes were:
Open header and better tunning.

i almost want to call bs on this. A stock b20 block with higher compression pistons, itrs are what 11:1 ? The torque numbers i can understand but jesus christ 240 horse at the wheels?? even with a vtec head i still doubt those numbers. Unless your timing is advanced to all hell and back... along with those cams that im not sure on since i dont know skunk 2.

non the less its impressive. Ive never heard of a honda 4 cylinder motor do this na... A lot of your d series turbo builds expect these results. Just the build is kinda sketchy.
why would this build be sketchy??? i actually had the very first B20V to ever run the RS ITR pistons and made LESS WHP than the dyno sheet above...check it out:

...made more torque but basically the same setup, almost the same tranny...i was running a 70mm throttle body on hondata S300...i was running a quaife dog gear box ($3,500 alone)...running on 91 octane socal pump gas ;-)

Neo Tuning Is the Best Place to Tune Your Car Here in Puerto Rico. I have tuned a few Civics with this guy and got Really Great results..And as far as ChameleonDesignz His setup is what is being used here in PR.. I even have that setup but istead of being B20 im B18 hybrid... Good Afternoon to alll.... Checkiamos

very impressive! Especially since i am doing a similar build, the torque is monstrous on that dyno sheet...
