Re: Integra All Motor | B20Vtec Stock Sleeves | 240whp SAE
I wonder what kind of horsepower the stock rods can handle before they give out... I know my d-series "toothpicks" can handle 200 plus before breaking, so I'm assuming the b20 rods can handle more than that. However, if I get a good deal local on some used aftermarket rods, I'm definitely going to pick them up...

How about you add something useful instead of being a normal honda-tech ***.
I'm prolly going to use aftermarket pistons for around the same area compression. This is going to be more daily driven than track driven, but I want it to be reliable as well. Do you think that on a budget build, Eagle rods are worth it over ARP hardware in stock rods? I see used Eagle rods go around 200 +/- on my local forum every once in a while. Come to think of it, I've seen a for sale thread around here with a bent b20 rod...

The OP has not been back for a while, but he has more recently been on b20vtec.com. I wrote him an email yesterday, so if he responds I'll ask him and try to get that answer back to you. This threads coming back from the dead, just without the OP lol.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by ChameleonDesignz »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Setup:
B20B Stock Bore (84mm) & Sleeves
ITR 84mm Pistons
B16 Head P&P
Skunk2 s2 Camshafts + Valvetrain
Victor X IM
Blox 78-76mm TB
"Cheap" Tri-Y Header (Still waiting for RMF)
Skunk2 Fuel Rail
Presicion 440cc Injectors
ITR JDM Tranny 4.78
+ All bolt ons.
Same setup had 239whp with Rage Header, RPM Service 76-74mm Throttle and Stock Fuel Rail. Never posted old graph since i lost it but... We got +1whp than before,on top, but powerband was improved all the way (+5-6whp). The only engine changes were: a Blox 1mm bigger TB, NEW Tri-Y header (old Rage was dented a little bit) and Skunk2 Composite Fuel Rail.
Car ran today 12.3sec @ 110.5mph
More info on 1/4 mile time here:

-----------------------UPDATE--------------------------
Changes were:
Open header and better tunning.

i almost want to call bs on this. A stock b20 block with higher compression pistons, itrs are what 11:1 ? The torque numbers i can understand but jesus christ 240 horse at the wheels?? even with a vtec head i still doubt those numbers. Unless your timing is advanced to all hell and back... along with those cams that im not sure on since i dont know skunk 2.
non the less its impressive. Ive never heard of a honda 4 cylinder motor do this na... A lot of your d series turbo builds expect these results. Just the build is kinda sketchy.

...made more torque but basically the same setup, almost the same tranny...i was running a 70mm throttle body on hondata S300...i was running a quaife dog gear box ($3,500 alone)...running on 91 octane socal pump gas ;-)
