Default couple questions for my b20vtec build

Im starting my b20vtec build soon and have a cuople questions. Im going to be using my itr head and b20z2 block. I wanna run rs machine 84mm itr spec pistons and was wondering what the compression ratio will be. shooting for around 11.5-1. Also what size oil line do I need for the head. I have a block fitting I got from stealth mode performance that thread into the oil pressure sending unit spot and has 2 1/8 ports for oil lines. what size oil line and an fittings do I need to run to the head? I want the line and fittings to be black is why Im asking. Any help would be great appreciated

Wouldn't suggest to use RS machine pistons. Had in my b20v build, wrist pin went to **** on one cylinder. Never even made it to the dyno. Check out supertech pistons for the price, cnc forged always wins comparred to cast. Gets some rods if you want your RPM, stock rods aren't exactly reliable with the 89 stroke. Really would suggest Golden Eagle vtec conversion kit. Everything you need.

check out the thread on honda-tech callled ( post your stock sleeves b20vtec ) half the people on the use the rs machine pistons and go low 12s and very reliable and u can use stock rods with them pistons , just use arp rod bolts thanks and goodluck

i have been slowly reading through that thread. so far i havent heard any problems with rs machine pistons. i planned to have the bottom end balanced and the rods shotpeened with arp rod bolts (9mm i believe). trying to figure out the compression with the itr spec pistons and using a itr head. might throw my itr crank and rods in instead.

My build consists of rs 84mm pistons, arp 2000 rod bolts, stock rods, stock crank, DNR ported gsr head, custom cams, and skunk2 valvetrain.

243hp and 160ft lbs of torque on 91 octane. My team mate has a carbon copy of my setup and did 11.90 first run out....with the power, we both should see 11.60's once we dial in the slick/tranny and weight combination.

No problems at all with the pistons. I believe if memory serves me correct...off the shelf they are 12.5:1.

All of our cars (team Lightspeed) run right around 12.5:1 comp on pump gas, all motor, all day with no issues.

No point in throwing your itr crank in their, in all honesty thats just going to cost more $$$ and wont make much of a difference.

For the oil line, i suggest the golden eagle b20vtec kit. Comes with headgasket, oil sandwhich, oil line, and the dowel pins and plug for the head. Its the easiest ls vtec conversion kit on the market, and requires no machine work on our head...we got em on our site, check out the sig below.

Yeah I think I may have got the bad batch or somethin. Sucks though, fully ballanced botton end, micropolished, all arp hardware. Good thread though, ( post your stock sleeves b20vtec ) thats what convinced me to use the RS pistons in the first place. But one time for me is enough, never use cast again unless its OEM honda.

Good luck
