well in the pic, it appears an intake valve is gone...so think about it, if there is an open hole in the head on the intake side something can travel up out of the cylinder with avirtually straight path into the intake manifold and then distribute accordingly to the rest of the cylinders.
there was a thread just the other day (in drag racing i think) where the guys valve snapped in half due to a dead retainer, and he found the stem in the next cylinder over's intake runner.

Re: 240 whp 2.0 LS/VTEC. Done.
dropped valve. you got away pretty lucky.
here is one i got delivered a few weeks back:
either retainer went byebye or belt jumped. one intake valve bent and hammered flush into the head, other valve snapped in half and went walk about. surprisingly i think a 0.5mm bore/hone should make the b18c4 block good again. got it cheap so worth it as a sleever or a spare...might even turn it into a coffee table
shrapnel in all cylinders and oil pan. crank was fine and un-damaged.sorry for your loss but no tune is ever going to stop a mechanical component failing, could have been a bad retainer, collect or you belt slipped and pistons ate your intake valves.

I'd start by talking to this guy. He's kind of a know it all when it comes to Honda-Tech type stuff.... https://honda-tech.com/search.php
Yeah, that looks all too familiar. My B16 with the old school S2 valves got ruined after about 400 miles. Kinda sucks when the head of a valve just "falls off" and destroys your block and pistons.....

op, those pics are the funniest i've seen of detonation. Come on. Redsolturbo has some of your possible causes, or maybe a missed shift and put into lower gear might have done some untimed valve closing.

Detonation caused you to drop a valve lol . . . .
108 octane was more than enough for that build . . .
Install error/coil bind/ shitty luck FTW
