240 whp 2.0 LS/VTEC. Done.
This is what detonation looks like and how it destroys a brand new fully built engine in less then 30 miles. Apon detonation, the head lifted up off the block, and blew metal into all 4 cylinders.

What was the root cause?
injectors to small? fuel pump failed? fuel pressure n/g? bad tune? Fill us in, so others may learn. |

Boost FTW. Bottom end is GE knfie Edge crank, sleeved, Eagle H beam rods, everything excpect pistons are perfect, can still see the hone.
The reason this happened is becasue this store lied to and sold me 108 ocatane when I need 110 because he hates imports. So yea. Tune was great. Just the asshole who sold me the fuel. |

dump the pistons, buy a 895 dollar endyn head and an AFI kit and youll have a turn ket 500hp car, or a buckin bronco rodeo ride, however you want to look at it

i dont thing the 2 octane point difference caused that since the points can vary up and down by a few, something failed in the motor like stated above

i dont see the head lifting enough with 240whp to allow metal from one cylinder to get to all 4. Did only one valve head drop?

What cams? What valvetrain? What compression? Were v2v and p2v checked? |
