Default 5spd Tranny swap question

So I have an 05 Type-S and I've gotten rid of the K02Z1 for the K24A2 out of an 05 TSX. I am going to be swapping it to a 5 speed transmission. Now I have a couple of questions before I buy one. First, I know that the EP3 5speed has better gearing than the base model RSX. My question is:

Is there any year more specific I have to go than the other because the 05-06 rsx uses a different VSS. That is one of the problems with the stock 6spd trans when using K-pro. So I need to make sure I can get this swap working.

Any suggestions or help would be most appreciated. Thanks!

Can I ask why you are against the 6 Spd?

Sorry I'm installing the JRSC with 10-12 pounds of boost. And basically the 5spd will have longer gears and be more useful than a 6spd.

Ehh, I disagree. For a turbo, yes but for a SC, you'll likely be quickier with the shorter geared 6 speed.

yeah today I decided to skip the 5spd swap idea and I am ordering the quiafe LSD and if that doesn't work for me than next I'll order the 4.052 final drive gear set.

My thoughts exactly...If you're running an RSX ecu you can install the TSX 6th gear in the 5 speed and possibly get a different FD while achieving awesome highway mpg...was going to do it before I decided to sell my EP3
