Transmission Problems.
I am having some problems with my Transmission. I was wondering if you guys could help me out. Motor and Tranny is a JDM 98+Spec B18C with bolt ons. Stock Clutch/Flywheel/Trans.
At higher speeds, and sometimes lower ones, my car will grind going into 5th gear. Normally driving it doesnt do it half as often. No other gear does this, only 5th. Still shift smooth other than the grind. Think it could be the syncro? Maybe Needs new Clutch? Thanks in advance!

Hard to tell without driving it... But often times, the fifth gear grind is from a worn clutch. I've encountered the fifth gear grind twice, and every time, a new clutch has taken care of it.
If someone managed to screw up a fifth gear syncro, they must enjoy driving their car very fast, haha.

The OEM clutch in it is VERY worn and slips bad somtimes. Not all the time. But makes no sense why it would do it in only 5th gear. I dunno.

check your tire pressure up front, on tranny with LSD if you have rotational difference between left and right wheel, you will bend the shift fork, and it starts with 5th...
If your front tires are the same diameter and pressure, than this does not apply to you...
