Are you building a track car out of that thing?

Your car is about 4 inches too high off the ground for that to have any effect.

Did you put it on to enhance the looks of your car?

This is pretty much as low as I can make the car, now that I'm on 225/50/16 RE01 R tires. I drive HPDE4 with NASA Pro and took this off my S2k cuz I broke the bottom and replaced it on the S2k so I figured I'd throw the broken one on the DC2.

Car handles great on my 16kg / 14kg coilovers and the cool thing about being higher to the ground is its above 22inches from the center headlight so no sweat from cops.

You could say I have a Track/Street S2k and I use this car for Street/Track.

This is my S2k thread https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-s2000-5/my-2004-spoon-s2000-coupe-2244584/

I just think it looks slightly out of place on a street car. If your saying its made for an S2000, then that explains it.

to you for tracking your car's.

edit: I'd like to see that on a 97 rear.

It does look kind of funny in the pic because you can't see the front Spoon carbon lip showing the front as level as the back. I guess more pics are needed to show entire car.

Spoon makes a DC2 diffuser? Isn't that off an S2K?

edit: I just noticed your S2k thread.
re-edit: I was just about to ask, "Wheren't you the guy that got your car signed by Ichi." And then I kept reading.

Yup, took off my S2k after I broke it jumping a burm at the race track. Since then replaced the one on the S2k and put the broken one on the DC2. Spoon also installed this on their EK9

Had to drill holes(4) on the side of the bumper to mount up and create an S bracket to bolt the back of the diffuser to the lower tie bar on the R rear cross beam. Cost $2 for the bracket at Lowes.

Hello just want to share this pic. This is my good friends JDM DB8 ITR he also bought a s2k rear diffuser from Spoon. We fitted it and it looks kinda awkward as of right now it sits on his garage collecting dust. hehehe. Waiting for the next owner.

That thing:

a) looks out of place
b) has no function on our cars, period. The bottom of the entire car would need to be seamless, like this, to be remotely functional.

c) hideous, but its your car, as long as you are happy.

So I guess your saying it doesn't work on S2k either, since bottom of an S2k is not seamless, right?

alex, I believe those add on pieces provide MINIMAL function, even an S2000. Anybody who claims they feel a difference is absurd.

But hey, it looks cool.... on an S2000.

Thats cool, I'm sure you would also look over rev and bone out to show off that whopping 200whp which is really something to be proud of....Back in year 1999 when that was a lot.

Minimal function I would probably agree with. A wing provides most of the downforce. As for the diffuser, this is my 2nd one off my S2k so it was either I sold it for very little because its broken underneath or I just kept it and changed my DC2 up a little bit considering civic and integra groups have very little originality these days. I've been building cars and track driving for some time now. I've seen and done many things that all of us Honda heads can always look back and say, "Remember when we did that?" Despite if this is one of those moments, honda-tech never fails to remind me that its members are so stuck to conformity they lash out negatively in a non-constructive unprofessional manner.

People are just stating their opinions and reactions, what did you expect. It is the internet get over it.

Looks cool, though someone already posted it might look better on a 97 rear bumper o_O
