Default ABS not engaging...no ABS code...thoughts?

So on the race car, the ABS light is NOT on, but the ABS does not work. Here are some relevant details:
  • ABS ECU has been reset/cleared successfully
  • OEM hubs in the rear with OEM ABS rings
  • DriveShaft Shop axles up front with their ABS rings
  • ABS codes have come on before with the system from it knowing I didn't have rings on the front when I first installed the axles
  • All ABS fuses are good in the engine bay
  • Car has 5200 miles, no rust or noticeable wear on any of the ABS pieces
  • Car sat for 5 years, then when I got it, brake lines were bled, didn't bleed the pump itself though
  • When brakes lock up, no pulsating or anything, no ABS light on
  • ABS comes on during start-up, then goes out (as it should)
Luckily I haven't flat-spotted any tires yet, but I really want this to work! Any ideas?

Does the ABS light illuminate when the car is started? I thought that the ITR ABS allowed for more slip. What are your symptoms?

Yes, the light does come on during start-up. My symptoms are I am locking up the tires and ABS won't engage

Flame suit on! Get rid of it lol. I did the abs delete love how the car stops and pedal feels. I do not auto cross or any thing but it stops great for what I use the vehicle for.

As I recall 30 of driving with the ebrake on will light it. You only have to pull a click to light the ebrake warning, not smoke the rear. Might test function.

ABS is a nice backup to avoid flatspot of R comps as you noted.

If the ABS is not malfuntioning the wheels are still locking, you could have a hanging caliper or a rotor with runout. Both could cause the brakes to stick and thwart the intervention of the ABS. I am guessing, because there is not a lot of information to go by here.

How are the brake lights?I think that the brake switch might not work or be out of adjustment. To me, the computer does't know that you are activating the brakes,so it doesn't trigger the modulator. The ABS systems test themselves every time you turn the key on and after you start rolling faster than 3 Km per hour.So if the light comes on when the key is on then goes away - the self check passes.

just jump the abs modulator relay and see if it activates. if you give it direct power it will run as long as you want. if it does not work the abs unit is probably bad if it does work the relay might be bad.

If that would be electrical problem the light would come on because the control unit wouldn't see a change in signals from the sensors.

I got it t work, just needed to re-bleed the lines again, now it works like a charm, must have been air in the ABS pump or something
