For some odd reason my itr keeps popping out of 5th gear when im going 30-40 mph. Usually it will stay in there when i get up to 50-60. Could anyone tell me what the problem is? I think it might be the synchros but im not sure. Also, what would be a good exhuast system w/o paying over $600?

I had this problem before. It turns out my inboard CV boot (passenger side) was busted and all the grease had been flung out. This for whatever reason caused the CV joint to slide out partially from the transmission. The spring inside of the oil ring popped off, and I was leaking transmission fluid everywhere. After replacing the axle and oil seal and filling my transmission up, I solved my problem.

There is a certain small range of rpm's, usually around 1500-2000 where the gears can slide in and out without clutch, this is because the teeth are spinning at the same speed so they can engage/disengage easily.

Could also be a lack of lubrication in the tranny, so maybe its time to flush your tranny fluid.

Could also be the torque of the engine moving causing the linkage to pop out of gear.

Or it could be your clutch is not disengaging fully.

Odds are, it is not your tranny though.

5th gear popping out is a classic sign of low fluid. check it before further damage might result from it.

I only had this happen one time in 3rd gear and that was because it was not fully in gear. It stayed in for like 10 seconds then popped out and scared the f*in **** out of me
