Re: 400 hp dyno video (hybrid_eg)
I'm interested in how much everything cost you. I hope you own/are good friends with someone who has a high performance motor shop... I can't even imagine how much it would cost you to double the horsepower of your car.

Re: 400 hp dyno video (Gravity)
Ok it had costed me around $16000 on engine mods alone.. Believe it or not this hp was acheived on OBD1 ECU , rechipped and designed by John Brown.. He sells his worked ecu's if anyone interested.. Just basics on bottom end, je's , crowers, arp, blockguard etc , etc. Head is balanced, ported, polished by John Brown. 5angle job with ferrera, crower etc.. Fuel is fields fuel controlle with haaaaa rc370 injectors.. Some other small litte secrets here and there.. I am soo glad I was able to pull this hp since I am 50hp less to what I promised.. Give me another week and I will give u 450@the wheel.. Keep tight my friends.. Oh yea , the turbo is a 60-1bb .. Itz not bad on lag since I shift at 10000rpm.. Lol

I am very impressed, yet, I am thinking about the lag too. It would make almost no sense for you to shift at 10K rpm, unless your RPM drop from one gear to another puts you in the 7-8K zone.
Any reason why the lag is so high? I would be expecting spooling and kick-in around 3-4K rpms.
Once again, very impressive tho!

lag seem soo high since u start from really low rpm when dynoing the car. Realistically when u drive everyday, it is not bad at all.. Trust me.. If u want to run 10's, this turbo is the best.. Everyone knows bout 60-1 turboo..

Re: 400 hp dyno video (jonnyR)
to bbe putting out that much power i would think the turbo must be big.
bigger turbo=more lag.
i can't imagine what it feels like when the turbo gets going

Just one simple question...do you think this kit and setup will be avaliable on the market soon? Or is it just gonna be the only typeR wiht 400hp turbo kit in the world?

Re: 400 hp dyno video (TurboR)
sounds damn nice... but 16K is way out of my budget.... dont get me wrong i'm sure you get what you pay for.. and for that amount i would definately want 10's.. nothing less
since all i want is a little more power out of mine.. i will probably settle with a greddy gsr kit, and modify it to fit itr.. with low cr headgasket before i do a build up.. run like 6-8 lbs.. and hope to be ok for a year or so.. i'm still debating on what to do about ECU.. shoud i go with a chipped obd1 ecu? hondata? or power fc?
thanks for a letting us know what you have under the hood.. those are very impressive numbers..

Re: 400 hp dyno video (hybrid_eg)
I had the greddy kit on my car before going soo wild. It was awesome but I wanted to be the fastest TypeR in the Nation.. I sold the kit to my friend with an upgraded turbo to a 20g.. Yea the turbo kit is one of a kind and all my piping is made of aluminum... U will never see it again. It can be copied after I show everyone to what I have but till then no will know to the way it is setup , noone except my close friends have seen the setupp. Greddy kit was one of my favorites, it was very reliable although I had it for 2 weeks.. Lol

I'm waiting on a new used itr shortblock that is shipped from boston. then I got to slap that in, then tune then I'll be ready to go. I don't know if I'll make it to race but i'll definitely come down to check your ride out.
