Default whats the average cost per hour of Dyno time???

Hey whats up guys. I called this local shop to set up an appointment for some Dyno time. I was there a few months ago and they wanted 100 bucks an hour for dyno time. Now I call them and they are saying they want 200 dollars an hour for Dyno time!! I think this is a freaking rip off! what do you guys think? what prices are you charged an hour where you live for dyno time??

If you don't have many dyno facilities in your area that may be a reason why they're charging more... $200/hr just for dyno runs is pretty astronomical... With tuning it's more understandable...

$200?!?!?!?

At Torquefreaks in Portland they charge as follows:

3 pulls for hp/tq - $29.99
3 pulls with a/f graph - $39.99
Lease the dyno - $85.00/hour
Lease the dyno w/ a/f graph - $95.00/hour
Dyno day with 8 or more cars in group - $50/vehicle
Tuning - $150/hour

Don't pay $200!

Tuning around here runs $150 an hour, and I believe $30 for 3 pulls.

Dynos around here 50-75 an hour (dirt ******* cheap)

Plus 100 an hour on top of that for tuning.

I know a shop in huntington beach that charges $75 for 3 pulls and $125 for 3 pulls w/ tuning. that was 2 years ago I don't know if they raised it up yet.

ive heard alot of dyno prices being around 100$/hr, but never found a common price for tuning costs per hour though. to be honest, i think 200$/hr is pretty costly, but if they are known for incredible tuning abilities, i cant see why a little more money would stop ya.

i think i personally would check around and go to a place with a good reputation. im by no means rich, but i think paying an extra 20-40/hr is worth it if you know theyre hella good tuners. i mean, its not like youll spend ALL day there anyways

One thing to say: Bristol Dyno. That is Bristol CT. The other place with the dynojet here in CT is way overpriced and the guys who work there seem like jerks.

This guy is cool and he will run 3 dyno tests for somthing like $70..

A little backround on the guy- He started the company because the guys at - BRAND X wouldnt dyno his 90whp Miata and he wanted to tweak on it.
