Thermoswitch woes?!
Ok ok ok. I fixed my overheating problem.
But my Thermoswitch isn't kicking my fans on after I run my car hard. The car wont overheat, but the fans wont come on!?!
Now, taking the advice you guys gave me I jumped the harness to see if there was an electrical flaw. None. fans came on. The fans still wont come on when I run the car hard. They only come on when I push the A/c button on. Which is pretty useless b/c my AC compressor clutch pulley is broke. So it just spins helplessly, but hey the fans work!
So is my thermoswitch shot the hell out or what? Going tomorrow to pick them up from Len. But hell if I'm giong to replace it I might as well get the sp00n one.
Also what size deep well socket do you need to remove this sucker? I tried all the sockets up to a 22mm deep well and it still didn't fit! I did a search and someone said it was like 24mm or 15/16 SAE, but no one could confrim that.

Got a Spoon thermostat? If not, I wouldn't get their fanswitch. You want the fanswitch to trigger a couple degrees hotter than the thermostat. The fans aren't supposed to come on unless the temperature climbs a bit. Otherwise the fans would keep fighting against the thermostat.
If everything's OK, the best way to get the fan to run is without moving the car. My temperature gauge goes a few notches (5 or 6?) above normal, then the fans run. It's not really overheating until it's up in the red. But I can't get it to do that if I'm driving. Only when it's idling in the garage. (Obviously, not with the door closed...) If I let it idle in the driveway, sometimes the wind is enough to cool it. But you're in Georgia - it should be hot down there...
Put a piece of cardboard across the grill, if that's the only way you can get the temperature to climb. But be prepared to pull it away when the fans start. And watch the temperature gauge in case the fans don't start. (Use your AC switch to turn on the fans if you really have to).
