Default Swap Questions...

Thinking about trading my EG for a 95 DB7 LS car... I get to keep my FULL 98 GSR swap. The 95 LS car will come with no motor, trans, or harness. If I've read correctly, I can use my 98 engine harness (plug & play) in the 95 LS but will have to run the vtec wiring to the shock tower harness??? Any additional info would be helpful!!!!

If your using the 98 gsr harness and a gsr ecu with a obd 1 stepdown then you should not have to do anything unless I am not reading this correctly. Okay the car is a 95 with no engine/trans and you have a 98 gsr complete swap with the complete wire harness and ecu. then you should be able to pull the ls complete harness and run the gsr complete harness with a step down to run obd1 since thats what you want and everything will be fine. Someone feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

The LS cabin harness shouldn't have VTEC wired at the shock tower but here is an easy way to check:

As for the knock sensor I'm not sure where it's pinned at the shock tower but it probably won't be there either. What ECU are you running? If its a P28 ignore the knock and IAB wiring.

Step-down? The 98 harness will plug into the 95 cabin harness at the shock tower and you can run obd1 ecu without any modifications. Vtec and knock sensor will have to be wired. I just put a 98 GSR swap into my 94 civic and used a skunk2 mani. If you already have a ecu chipped that bypasses the knock sensor you won't have to worry about wiring that up. if you look for the tech in hybrid for wiring a GSR swap into a vx civic it will show you where on shock tower plug it is
