X2, my taillights had never been removed (not since I owned the car, anyway) and replacing the taillight gaskets solved my water intrusion problem.

Make sure you take off the rear bumper valance - the metal piece in between the bumper and the tail lights that has the hole for the trunk key in it. Underneath that is where I found my crack.
