Default PINGING HELP! GSR, B16A HEAD!

Okay, here is the issue. 95 GSR, b18c1 with 12.1 compression pistions with b16a head. Got vafc2, b16a chipped ecu no rev, no speed cut off. My issue is bad pinging. Car is fast, an pinging go's away when i retard my ignition timing. humm... but i lose ALOT of power.... humm... it only pings like 1k-3k!

is there a way for me to retard my ignition timing with my VAFC2 between 1k,-3k?

I run 93 fuel, got 300cc injectors. My car is fast, but this pingin is annoying. Any ideas/advice/help would be great. I dont have a timing light, but will have one next week if issue is not solved. But honda did set my timing last an its still in the same spot an pings when its where honda put it! ahh!!

i had that problem on my b16 timing was off check that

VAFC can't change ignition timing but it may be the source if your issues. If you're using the VAFC for taking away fuel with your larger injector. When you take away fuel you're modifying the map signal to read less air which translates to less engine load. With less engine load the ECU will add more timing than with higher load.

VAFC is pretty, that's it. It's not a good tuning tool, get your car tuned, you already have the chipped ECU so you're half way there.

cool, thanks for the help. Is there anyone here familiar with the VAFC2? what dose changing the ne-1000k settings do. It has NE-1000rpm through NE-9000rpm an u can change them lower an higher... anyone got any info?!
