NOS question
I ditched my turbo for a number of reasons, and am gonna go nos instead. I'm not as familiar with it or it's limitations. I know how to install it, how it works, but here's my question. On an LS with stock internals and turbo I see guys running 230hp+ with a good tune and there doesn't seem to be any problems. Well, let's say I throw a 75shot on my LS. I won't really get 75hp, my guess is it would be around 50 or so. So now I'd be up to 190hp. I'd have to run about a 125shot to get anywhere close to 230hp, and I think I'd blow the engine before that. I dont think I've seen anyone running a 125shot on a stock LS, but the point is I'd still be making less hp than with turbo. Is the reason I can't spray that much because the combustion temp is higher with NOS or something? I'll be running a wet kit.
Cliffs:
Why can I make more power safely with turbo than with NOS on stock internals? Or is that even correct?
Thanks!
